A usual Hirsch bakery/cafe. It has the usual bakes and Brötchen that can be found in the bakeries in the region. Nothing special food-wise - there were also limited options when I visited on Monday morning, but this was clearly during non-peak hours and I was the only dine-in customer for most of my stay. The baker was very friendly and the cafe has a wonderful, peaceful atmosphere that I find very inviting. It is situated beside the water/lake, and it is nice to sit beside the window to enjoy the view and sound of running water. I would recommend visiting during such quiet times of the week.

Very nice place to lunch and drink coffee. You order at the counter and take it with you to the table. The prepared sandwiches were sold out but the lady proposed some things and made it for us. The Apfelstrudel was excellent. We had 2 sandwiches with ham, 2 large coffee and an Apfelstrudel for only 13 euro. Extremely cheap also considering this location. Besides the good taste and friendly price, the personnel was also really friendly. Only disadvantage is the only cash payment which you often have in Germany.

Really nice coffee with both salty and sweet bakery options. I had a take away sandwich which was really tasty. Vegetarian options as well. There might be a bit of queue sometimes during the weekend but the staff is friendly and helpful. There are also places to sit inside and outside with a view from the centre of the old city.
